The Didache is the earliest Christian church manual — how to baptize, how to fast, the first written Eucharist prayers, how to tell a true teacher from a false one. It was known only by name until a single manuscript surfaced in Constantinople in 1873.
Reading it word by word in the original Greek, you hear the working voice of the first- and second-century church at its plainest and most practical, in Greek that is remarkably easy to read.
