Go keep company to poor Sanchinha; I will take care of the burial. Thus we did. I wanted the burial to be pompous, and the influx of friends was numerous. Praia, streets, Praça da Glória, everything were cars, many of them private.
The narrator describes the funeral arrangements and the large turnout of friends.
The narrator instructs someone to accompany Sanchinha while he arranges a grand funeral, which attracts many friends and fills the area with cars, many of which are private.
