Aquí Marco dice para qué sirve el tiempo: no para acumular, sino para calmar. Los «desórdenes del alma» son las pasiones, los miedos, la agitación — y la tarea de una vida es apaciguarlos. El tiempo es el instrumento; el alma serena, el trabajo.
