A conclusão consoladora: o que basta para uma vida divina não é muito.
Depois de tanta exigência, um alívio: o que é de fato necessário para viver bem — «uma vida divina» — não é muito. O estoicismo enxuga a lista dos requisitos da felicidade até um punhado de coisas ao alcance de qualquer um. A vida boa não pede fortuna nem sorte rara; pede pouco, mas pede que se faça.
