καὶ ἐκάλεσεν ὁ θεὸς τὴν ξηρὰν γῆν, καὶ τὰ συστέματα τῶν ὑδάτων ἐκάλεσεν θαλάσσας· καὶ ἴδεν ὁ θεὸς ὅτι καλόν.
Two more namings complete the naming-pattern begun in 1:5,8: the dry land becomes γῆ, “Earth”, and the gathered waters become θάλασσαι, “Seas.” συστέματα, “gatherings, collections,” is a rare technical word for the LXX's own “basins” of water; Swete's apparatus notes that codex E reads the more familiar συστήματα.
