[καὶ ἴδεν ὁ] θεὸς τὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐποίη[σεν, καὶ] ἰδοὺ καλὰ λίαν. καὶ ἐγέ[νετο ἑσ]πέρα καὶ ἐγένετο πρωί, [ἡμέρα ἕ]κτη.
The chapter's closing verdict intensifies the refrain: no longer merely καλόν, “good”, but καλὰ λίαν, “exceedingly good” — the only time λίαν is added, reserved for the completed whole (τὰ πάντα, “all things”) rather than any single day's work.
