Καὶ ἔζησεν Μαλελεὴλ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη, καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἰάρεδ.

The setting

The fifth patriarch. Here the numeral phrase changes shape slightly from vv.9,12: “a hundred AND sixty-five,” with a καὶ inserted between the hundred and the tens, where vv.9 and 12 simply juxtapose “a hundred ninety” / “a hundred seventy” with no connective — a small stylistic variation the frozen text preserves exactly as printed, rather than normalizing.
