O gato nem deixava a presa, nem via por onde fugisse. Ezequiel não disse nada, deteve-se, acocorou-se, e ficou olhando. Ao vê-lo assim atento, perguntamos-lhe de longe o que era; fez-nos sinal que nos calássemos.
The cat neither let go of the prey nor saw where it fled. Ezequiel said nothing, stopped himself, crouched down, and remained looking. Upon seeing him thus attentive, we asked him from afar what it was; he made us a sign that we kept quiet.
