«¡Ay!», dijo ella, «¿qué puedes hacer por mí, rana asquerosa?
La princesa responde con desdén a la criatura del agua.
«Nasty» — asqueroso, repugnante — mide todo el desprecio de la princesa: para ella la rana es solo un bicho viscoso. Ese desdén inicial es la clave del cuento, que tratará justamente de aprender a mirar más allá de la piel. «What can you do for me» = qué puedes hacer por mí.
