κὤττι ἔμῳ μάλιστα θέλω γένεσθαι μαινόλᾳ θύμῳ· τίνα δηὖτε πείθω μαῖς ἄγην ἐς σὰν φιλότατα; τίς σ᾽, ὦ Ψάπφ᾽ ἀδικήει;
The goddess’s voice takes over. She promises to bring the beloved round, and speaks Sappho’s own name — Ψάπφ᾽, the Aeolic form.
