ἔλθε μοι καὶ νῦν, χαλέπαν δὲ λῦσον ἐκ μερίμναν, ὄσσα δέ μοι τέλεσσαι θῦμος ἰμμέρρει, τέλεσον· σὺ δ᾽ αὔτα σύμμαχος ἔσσο.
The frame closes: the prayer returns to the present. Free me, fulfil what I long for, and stand with me — Aphrodite as σύμμαχος, "comrade-in-arms."
