καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν αὐτὸν Κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἐκ τοῦ παραδείσου τῆς τρυφῆς, ἐργάζεσθαι τὴν γῆν ἐξ ἧς ἐλήμφθη.
The consequence executed: humanity is sent out (ἐξαπέστειλεν, the same verb used of Israel's later exile) not merely from a place but from a way of life — from the same task ("to work/till the ground," ἐργάζεσθαι τὴν γῆν) that had already been given him in the garden before the fall (2:15), but now performed under curse and outside paradise rather than in fellowship within it.
