καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Σὴθ ἐννακόσια δώδεκα ἔτη, καὶ ἀπέθανεν.
This closing verse is slightly shorter than v.5’s: no relative clause (“which he lived”), just the bare total. The variation is Swete’s text as it stands, not a scribal accident to be corrected — the chapter’s formula flexes in small ways from patriarch to patriarch even while its shape stays recognizable.
