The breath of life

εἰσῆλθον πρὸς Νῶε εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν, δύο δύο ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ ἀπὸ πάσης σαρκὸς ἐν ᾧ ἐστὶν πνεῦμα ζωῆς.
πνεῦμα ζωῆς, “the breath of life,” is the qualifying mark of what boards the ark — not plants, only breathing creatures. The relative pronoun ᾧ (neuter) does not strictly agree with the feminine σάρξ that precedes it, a small Hebraism: the underlying Hebrew relative is invariable for gender.
