Καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ κατακλυσμὸς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς τεσσεράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσεράκοντα νύκτας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς· καὶ ἐπληθύνθη τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ ἐπῆρεν τὴν κιβωτόν, καὶ ὑψώθη ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς.
The flood in motion: the water increases, and the ark rises off the ground — the first sign that Noah's obedience has become his salvation.
