The ark comes to rest — not the mountain named “Ararat” as a single peak but ὄρη ... τὰ Ἀραράτ, “the mountains of Ararat,” the mountainous region of ancient Urartu (Hebrew אֲרָרָט), in what is now eastern Turkey/Armenia. εἰκάς, “the twentieth,” is the Greek calendar's technical term for that day of the month.
