The Book of Enoch 7.5 · Flesh and blood📜 Charles 1906, the printed page
The violence spreads to every living thing.
· · ·
And they began to sin against birds and against beasts, and creeping things and fish; and they devoured one another’s flesh, and drank the blood [of it].
The verb for “turned” is the one the angels used in their oath in 6:4, meṭa, “we will not turn back”. They did not turn back; their children turned on humankind.
