The Book of Enoch 7.6 · The earth accuses📜 Charles 1906, the printed page
The end of chapter 7.
· · ·
Then the earth brought a complaint against the lawless ones.
The list runs through the creatures of Genesis 1: birds, beasts, “what moves”, fish. Creation is undone in the order it was made. Then the giants eat each other and drink blood, which Genesis 9:4 forbids to all humankind.
Charles bracketed “of it”: some manuscripts have it, and he was not sure it belonged.
