The chapter ends on a sound. Hagʷlat is destruction, perishing (Dillmann: interitus, exitium, and he cites this verse). Ṣarḫa, “to cry out”, is the verb for a loud, clear cry (clamare, vociferari). One of Dillmann’s examples is blood crying from the earth to heaven, from Jubilees 4, and he also cites Enoch 9:2, the next chapter.
Baṣḥa, “to arrive”, takes heaven directly as its object, with no word for “to” or “toward”: the voice arrives at heaven. Dillmann cites this verse for that construction.
