Tanto o geral como o provincial de Lisboa, tocados por esse ardente entusiasmo apostólico, o haviam recomendado expressamente a Fr. Diogo do Rosário, então prior do convento do Carmo no Rio de Janeiro, pedindo-lhe que empregasse no serviço do Senhor e na glória da ordem da Beatíssima Virgem do Monte Carmelo, o zelo e o santo fervor do irmão Fr. Ângelo di Luca.
Both the superior general and the provincial of Lisbon, moved by that ardent apostolic enthusiasm, had expressly recommended him to Fr. Diogo do Rosário, then prior of the Carmelite convent in Rio de Janeiro, asking him to employ, in the service of the Lord and the glory of the order of the Most Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel, the zeal and holy fervor of brother Fr. Ângelo di Luca.
