"Do not interrupt me"

— Não me interrompais.
"Do not interrupt me. It is not a complaint I make to you; it is indeed a declaration you must receive, for it is needful that you may understand what I have still to tell you. When for forty years we gamble our life almost every day, when we have seen death a hundred times over our head, or beneath our feet, we can look calmly on the end of the journey we make in this vale of tears."
