ὁ δὲ ἐξελθὼν ἤρξατο κηρύσσειν πολλὰ καὶ διαφημίζειν τὸν λόγον, ὥστε μηκέτι αὐτὸν δύνασθαι φανερῶς εἰς πόλιν εἰσελθεῖν, ἀλλ’ ἔξω ἐπ’ ἐρήμοις τόποις ἦν · καὶ ἤρχοντο πρὸς αὐτὸν πάντοθεν.

But going out, he began to proclaim it much and to spread the word, so that he could no longer enter a town openly, but was out in desolate places, and they kept coming to him from every side.
