ἀπὸ δὲ τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν καθαρῶν εἰσάγαγε πρὸς σὲ ἑπτὰ ἑπτὰ ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ, ἀπὸ δὲ τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν μὴ καθαρῶν δύο δύο ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ·
The command to take extra pairs of clean animals — seven, not two — anticipates a purpose not yet stated: sacrifice after the flood (8:20). καθαρός/μὴ καθαρός, “clean”/“not clean,” is the Torah's ritual-purity distinction (Lev 11), here applied before the Sinai legislation that will formally define it — Genesis assumes Noah already knows the categories.
