Καὶ ηὐλόγησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν Νῶε καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ, καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Αὐξάνεσθε καὶ πληθύνεσθε, καὶ πληρώσατε τὴν γῆν καὶ κατακυριεύσατε αὐτῆς.
God repeats to Noah the very blessing given to humankind at creation (Gen 1:28, αὐξάνεσθε καὶ πληθύνεσθε καὶ πληρώσατε τὴν γῆν καὶ κατακυριεύσατε αὐτῆς — word for word the same four verbs). The flood has not changed the terms of the original commission; it renews it. κατακυριεύσατε ("have dominion") is the same verb Jesus warns against in Mark 10:42 — worldly rulers "lord it over" (κατακυριεύουσιν) their subjects — a pointed contrast with the intended dominion of Gen 1 and 9.
