καὶ πάσῃ ψυχῇ ζώσῃ μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν, ἀπὸ ὀρνέων καὶ ἀπὸ κτηνῶν, καὶ πᾶσι τοῖς θηρίοις τῆς γῆς ὅσα μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἐξελθόντων ἐκ τῆς κιβωτοῦ.
The covenant's scope widens beyond Noah and his descendants to embrace every living creature that came out of the ark — birds, cattle, wild beasts — the first covenant in Scripture made with the whole animal creation, not with humankind alone.
