τρεῖς οὗτοί εἰσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Νῶε· ἀπὸ τούτων διεσπάρησαν ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν.
The verse anticipates the Table of Nations (Genesis 10) and the scattering of Babel (Genesis 11): the entire human family, in this text's own account, descends from these three men. διασπείρω ("scattered") is the same verb of the believers scattered by persecution in Acts 8:1,4 and 11:19 — dispersal as the pattern God works through, for judgment here and for mission there.
